Going virtual durig COVID... Together We Care and Advancing Senior Care
Monday, March 29th 2021
COVID has changed the way we interact, and our industry is adapting to the new "normal".
Just over a year since we first heard of COVID-19, it's safe to say that the lives of our families, communities and businessess will never be the same. In the midst of these uncertain times, we pushed ourselves to reinvent the way we interact and found new ways to connect. Virtual meeting apps have gone beyond business and school settings to become the backdrop to all sorts of personal events, from birthdays and family reunions, to weddings and memorial services, to name a few.
While most of us agree that online tools will never replace that in-person connection, the reality is most of us have learned to navigate this new "normal".
On that note, our Retirement and Long Term Care community is about to experience two major events, both going virtual this year. Together We Care and Advancing Senior Care will go live with their virtual Exhibits on April 20-22, and May 5-6 respectively.
As long time members of ORCA, OLTCA and AdvantAge, SignMakers is proud to be participating in both conventions.
In tune with the COVID-19 scenario, this year's keynote speakers at TWC will be talking about Life after loss (Erin Davis - Reclaiming Joy - April 20th, 10:15am), Employee well being (Jim Moss - The Changing Ways of Work - April 21st, 10:15am) and Leadership and Accountability (Michelle Ray - Leadership: It starts and ends with Me - April 22nd, 10:15am).
Aside from several case studies and forums, this edition of TWC also features a virtual Vendor Directory, allowing attendees to search by company name, contact and by product/service categories.
The Directory has been live since March 1st and will remain available until May 1st on the TWC website.
Advancing Senior Care will talk about misinformation regarding COVID-19 (Timothy Caulfield - Overcoming Misinformation in the Age of Covid - May 5th, 9:30am) and Mindfulness (Trish Tutton - Thrive! Mindfulness as a Pandemic Recovery Tool - May 6th, 2pm). The Premier of Ontario Doug Ford, Minister of Health Christine Elliott and Minister of Long Term Care Merrillee Fullerton are also invited as Guest speakers, pending confirmation. The convention is hosting virtual booths for Commercial Vendors, with live chat and "face-to-face" meetings available. SignMakers will be there to meet and greet, as well as answer any questions about our products and services.
